Le spécialiste de la Lucullus de Valenciennes étoffe sa structure

Since 1934, the year of the creation of the famous Valenciennes Lucullus, the Vanbesien family have successfully continued to manufacture and develop this special foie gras dish. Passed down through three generations, the traditional know-how is today perpetuated by Juliette Dendievel who has developed the company to meet demands of supermarkets and away-from-home catering.

Over the last 8 years, Lucullus has also created a range of condiments with onion and fig chutneys to develop and energise the foie gras world.

Today, Juliette is working in partnership with a regional entrepreneur, Augustin Motte.

With the support of a small group of private individuals, Augustin has purchased a majority holding in the company. He will take up the position of General Director alongside Joe O'Toole who will be the company Chairman.

Juliette will remain heavily involved in the company she founded and will dedicate her efforts to R&D and marketing before continuing to develop ranges under the brand names Les Recettes de Juliette and Les Saveurs de Mamie, particularly with the launch of individual sweet and savoury crumbles and also a range of preserves to be served with cheese.

Augustin went to engineering school in Lille (ISA) and was formerly the Sales Director at a large international company in the food industry.

The new associates want to maintain and continue our existing product expertise, quality and technique, developing the company on its solid foundations.

Claude and Claire Vanbesien will continue to represent the company for sales and contribute to its development through their hard work and total commitment.
